John 3:16
John 3:16 (New International Version) 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jesus saves because He is the Son of God who came into the world to redeem humanity from sin and eternal separation from God. According to the Bible, all people have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Sin separates us from God, and no human effort can fully erase that debt. Jesus, being perfect and sinless, willingly gave His life on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. Through His death and resurrection, He conquered sin and death, offering forgiveness and eternal life to all who believe in Him. Salvation through Jesus is not earned by good works or religious rituals, but is a gift of grace (Ephesians 2:8-9).
